Funny, while watching the show I never noticed any anti-college/anti-education/anti-book smarts sentiment. If anything, there are numerous scenes where characters are seen studying from books. Hershel, Denise, Michonne, Enid, etc. Heck, much of what Eugene knows is based on what he has read in the past. Some fans seem to really enjoy throwing out those pot shots via Andrea though. I am personally glad that they kept this scene out. The whole, college education vs street smarts/survival smarts dilemma by now is over done and frankly immature. This is precisely the sentiment the scene continues to perpetuate. It also makes Andrea out to be more of an arrogant bitch than is actually necessary. By the way, I personally was not really a fan of Andrea at first, she always came off as trying too hard to be one of the guys and hence her decisions tended to lack in practicality. I never felt that she thought herself better than everyone though. I actually began to understand her more and more the 2nd and 3rd time I rewatched the first three seasons. She is the first one to stand up to Carol's husband which ultimately earns him a good beating from Shane, rendering him relatively docile. Speaking of standing up, she had every right to mark her boundaries with Dale. She helps with a lot of the gross work, that I personally would not want to do (e.g. gathering and burning corpses). She rescues Carol at the end of season 2, and has the resilience to survive like a full day of running from Walkers before Michonne finds her. By the end of season 2, I would certainly want her watching my back if I was in a zombie apocalypse. Even though it seems that she is making a lot of bad decisions in season 3, which arguably may be the case, she genuinely is trying to stop an all out war in which many innocent people on both sides could die. She demonstrates her potential for leadership by arranging the meeting between the Governor and Rick, and also when she quells the fears and unrest of the Woodbarians after the Governor loses it for a while, after Rick and gang rescue Glenn and Maggie. So much wasted potential, killing her off when she was in the process of growing. Definitely a character that could have been written better.

Qué gran serie han creado. Crecí con la serie y de verdad que The Ones Who Live ha sido el mejor episodio hasta ahora. Amo la serie, mr encanta Rick Grimes e hicieron que mis tardes y noches donde duré viendo la serie, me volviera a encontrar con la niña interior que le encantaba ver a este grupo de sobrevivientes.
